Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel and slice the russet potatoes evenly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grease a baking dish. Layer half of the potato slices, half of the cream mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Top with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
