Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 8 oz egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the sliced beef in batches and brown them. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil if necessary. Sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant, then add broccoli and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright green but still crisp.
  4. Return cooked beef to the skillet along with cooked noodles. Mix soy sauce with cornstarch and sesame oil; pour into the skillet and toss everything to coat evenly.
  5. Allow to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes on low heat before serving hot.
