Ingredients

  • 1 head green cabbage, cut into wedges
  • 3 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp pickling spice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Place brisket in a roasting pan.
  3. Add beef broth to about an inch high and sprinkle pickling spice.
  4. Arranging onion, garlic, potatoes, and cabbage around the brisket.
  5. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 4 to 4½ hours.
  6. Rest, slice against the grain, and serve.
