- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine diced mango, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice. Toss gently and set aside to marinate.
- Mix paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels and coat them thoroughly in the spice blend.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add avocado oil until shimmering.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes per side until a dark crust forms.
- Remove shrimp from the pan and let rest for 2 minutes.
- Spoon the mango salsa generously over the warm shrimp and serve immediately.
