Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine diced mango, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice. Toss gently and set aside to marinate.
  2. Mix paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pat shrimp completely dry with paper towels and coat them thoroughly in the spice blend.
  4. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add avocado oil until shimmering.
  5. Add shrimp in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes per side until a dark crust forms.
  6. Remove shrimp from the pan and let rest for 2 minutes.
  7. Spoon the mango salsa generously over the warm shrimp and serve immediately.
