Description

A festive, moist white cake infused with sweetened condensed milk and topped with airy whipped cream and fresh holiday berries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • Ingredients required for cake mix (usually 3 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 1 cup water)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries or raspberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the white cake according to package instructions and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Use a wooden spoon handle to poke holes throughout the cake, spacing them roughly 1 inch apart.
  5. Stir vanilla extract into the sweetened condensed milk, then pour slowly over the cake, filling the holes.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Spread whipped topping evenly over the chilled cake.
  8. Garnish with fresh sliced strawberries or raspberries before serving.
