Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add butter to the skillet and melt. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes to create a roux.
  5. Slowly whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
  6. Turn heat to low and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until completely melted.
  7. Fold in the cooked macaroni and stir until evenly coated. Serve immediately.
