Description

A slow-cooked version of the classic cheeseburger featuring tender shredded beef and melted cheddar cheese, served on toasted buns.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
  3. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Break up any large chunks of beef with two forks.
  6. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
  7. Spoon the mixture onto toasted buns and add preferred toppings.
