- 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry or lemon gelatin
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping
- 1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, eggs, and water. Mix until smooth and pour into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow cooling completely in the pan.
- Poke holes all over the top of the cooled cake with a wooden spoon handle.
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water as per package instructions and pour evenly over the holes in the cake. Refrigerate for at least one hour until set.
- Top with whipped topping just before serving and garnish with fresh berries.
