A savory and visually striking appetizer featuring hard-boiled eggs filled with a creamy paprika and chive mixture, topped with olive eyeballs for a spooky effect.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 6 green olives, sliced into rounds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot, cover with water, bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 10 minutes to stop the cooking process.
  3. Peel eggs and slice them lengthwise, removing the yolks into a bowl.
  4. Mash yolks with a fork and mix in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Stir in the chopped fresh chives.
  6. Spoon or pipe the filling into the egg white halves, forming a rounded dome.
