- 1 lb store-bought pizza dough
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 150g sliced pepperoni
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the center of the dough.
- Layer mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices over the sauce.
- Fold the sides of the dough over the filling to create a sealed log.
- Cut remaining dough into 1/2-inch wide strips.
- Wrap the strips around the log in an overlapping pattern, leaving a small gap for eyes.
- Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with Parmesan and oregano.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into rounds.
