Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Whisk in the heavy cream slowly, continuing to stir on low heat until emulsified.
  4. Simmer for another 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  6. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a glass jar for a smooth consistency.
