Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Stir melted butter and granulated sugar together in a bowl.
  3. Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt, folding gently until just combined.
  5. Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, coconut, and pecans over medium heat.
  7. Stir until thickened, then spread evenly over the warm brownies.
  8. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
