- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325F and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Stir melted butter and granulated sugar together in a bowl.
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt, folding gently until just combined.
- Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, coconut, and pecans over medium heat.
- Stir until thickened, then spread evenly over the warm brownies.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
