Description

A luxurious one-pot meal combining perfectly seared sirloin steak with creamy, buttery orzo pasta infused with garlic and parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cubed
  • 1.5 cups orzo pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season steak cubes with salt and pepper. Sear in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in orzo and toast for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Cook for 2 minutes until the sauce is thick and glossy.
  6. Fold the seared steak and any pan juices back into the orzo. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
