Description

Soft, buttery dinner rolls infused with fresh rosemary and minced garlic, finished with a savory garlic-butter glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3.5 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup warm milk (105-115°F)
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp melted butter (for glaze)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, honey, and yeast in a small bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together bread flour and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, 4 tbsp melted butter, and the egg to the flour. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Fold in the chopped rosemary and minced garlic.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 equal pieces, and roll into tight balls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  10. Mix 3 tbsp melted butter with 1 clove of minced garlic. Brush over the rolls immediately after removing from the oven.
