Description

A creamy, fruit-forward smoothie featuring frozen strawberries and bananas, finished with a toasted, sweet-and-salty maple pecan topping for added texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 2 ripe bananas (frozen and sliced)
  • 1.5 cups milk of choice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pecan halves
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place pecan halves in a skillet over medium heat and toast for 3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and cook for 1 more minute until glazed. Remove from heat and let cool on parchment paper.
  3. Add frozen strawberries, frozen banana slices, milk, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, and vanilla extract to a blender.
  4. Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Check consistency; add a splash more milk if it is too thick or more frozen fruit if too thin.
  6. Pour the smoothie into two glasses and top with the cooled maple pecans.
